water challenge

Connect across cultures. Engage in conversation. Participate in daily activities. Give to the water well at Ep. Mutombo Primary School & Mutowa Institute.

Welcome to the Point Loma Nazarene University student-run water challenge held February 9–April 3, 2015. Together we raised awareness about access to fresh water, hygiene and sanitation. We encouraged you to voice your thoughts on social media, and help us build the first water well in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After matching funds came through we raised $10,829. This summer the water well was built, providing closer access, improved water hygiene and personal security. Many thanks to all!

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you made me welcome.
—Matthew 25:35

Had a great time at the cliff clean-up and BBQ! Thanks to all who came to help keep our beautiful ocean clean. Received many thanks from local surfers and strollers. It was a lot of fun!
